Level 1 I absolutely loved the first one and it was the most unique moviegoing experiences of my life. It was so quiet in the theater I could hear a guy chewing his popcorn ten rows back. This seemed like a money grab, but after watching this preview it looks like they went the Aliens sequel route to the original Alien. More violent, bigger, louder. It could be awesome. level 2 louder That shouldn't be too hard. level 2 Teaser. “A Quiet Place 2: Hush Yo Mouf! ” “AQP 3: The Deadly Silence of Giant Owls” “AQP 4: Devils Radio” level 2 But. Aliens was terrible compared to the original. It was good on its own, but really just dumbed down. level 1 Given the talent behind the movie, Im cautiously optimistic. It did not need a sequel but that doesnt mean the sequel cant be good. level 1 The alien crawling out of the moving bus was a nice touch. level 2 I saw that and thought the same thing. Even watching on my phone that bus coming towards the car was tense. level 1 Imma miss Johns character level 2 He's not in the trailer, but he'll be in the movie. (right. level 1 Opening scene is reminiscent of the car scene from Children of Men level 2 It reminded me of the opening of the video game The Last of Us. I'm sold just based on that opener. They are doing the Aliens to Alien and I like it. level 2 the whole trailer looks like a Pastiche of scenes taken from other films level 1 When they go through the fence and set off the booby trap? I recognize that location from Zombieland 2, in the scene where the bus breaks down. level 1 Some of the backdrops reminded me of The Last of Us. level 1 Weirdly cut trailer. Must have either been a rush to make it out or too many potential spoilers? level 2 It was purposely trying to show as little as possible while going much bigger. It wasn't weirdly cut at all. It was doing what a 1st trailer should do. The 2nd one should do the same thing but give a little more story.

Hang nÃlkül 2.5. Monster: It's me, Michael Scott. I don't think it was necessary a sequel for this movie. I don't think it was necessary, but it also doesn't actually feel unnecessary. I guess that probably sounds kind of weird? But with some movies you hear a sequel get announced and it makes you roll your eyes, but with this I kind of shrugged and thought "Okay, let's see what they can do. Maybe it's PR fluff, but Krasinski did at least say the right things this year about Paramount and him not wanting to chase a horror franchise too hard: Q: Youre writing a sequel to “A Quiet Place. ” Does it worry you that the first film was such a big hit that Paramount may treat this like the “Purge” franchise, cranking out new installments on a yearly basis? A: Totally. I cant stop them from doing that. Im a realist, I know how the studio operates. At first, I wanted nothing to do with a sequel — I told my wife, “It can never be this good again. ” And she said, “Of course it wont. Take this movie, put it on a mantel so you can look at it anytime you want, and then go out and do something else. ” Paramount was asking a bunch of writers and directors what they might do with it, and to their credit, they didnt take any of those pitches because they felt a little more franchise-y. Meanwhile, I had this tiny idea that fit that world and could be exciting. Paramount asked if I would write it and Im doing that now, but Im still thinking about what I want to do next. If I can crack the idea, I would love to direct it again, and if I cant, I would love to give it to someone else with my fingerprints on it to make sure its being taken care of. I know that anyone reading this will be like, “Yeah right, art guy, ” but I do have sort of a parental feeling about this movie, and I dont want “A Quiet Place” to turn into an action movie where 400 people have machine guns. Or did I give away the ending to the sequel.

Nobody involved will say a word about Cillian Murphy's character and that gives me the impression that determining his intentions is a major source of tension. He'll do utterly superb work as he always does, but familiarity with the world may decrease hype & excitement from reviewers. level 1 Less than the first unless the marketing really sells it as a necessary addition to the universe. The first movie was great but having one of the two likable leads out of this one (at least in front of the camera) doesnt help them level 1 OW 55 million DOM 175 million WW 375 million level 1 35-40 million opening 100 - 120 million domestic total level 1 I'll need a trailer to properly guess, but for now I'd say like 42M, 120M total. level 1 350M WW is my highest prediction. 254M WW is the lowest one that I could think of. level 1 OW: 65M DOM: 175. 5M (2. 7x multi) Legs will likely decrease for the second instalment, just cause that's how sequels work really. Im a little torn though because the first one was so original and fresh to me, I loved everything about the story structure just giving us a personal family tale and the way silence was used to ramp up the tension to 11. I like that the sequel isnt trying rehash the exact same thing, but without an idea of what this really is I hope it doesnt become a more generic post-apocalyptic story. Directed by John Krasinski, who also starred and co-wrote, the high-concept horror saw a family fighting for survival in a post-apocalyptic world ravaged by sound-seeking aliens. The Abbotts had to live their life in silence to evade the ETs. As well as being inventively scary, A Quiet Place was also a surprisingly emotional family story. Krasinskis real-life wife Emily Blunt co-starred as Evelyn, the familys mother, while Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe were the kids. The film resonated with audiences to the tune of 340. 1m worldwide, making a sequel almost inevitable. Krasinski may not be returning in front of the camera because – spoiler warning for Part I – his character died at the end of the first film, but he is writing and directing the sequel that picks up immediately after the end of the original, and follows Evelyn and the children as they continue their survival story. “I love the idea of the first one, that Emily and I as characters were all about surviving versus the thriving, ” Krasinski tells our sister publication Total Film magazine in their new 2020 preview issue. I wonder if there will be 'mother' monsters, like the queen in Alien. But that large claw coming through the bus window, and the one crawling down the wall, seem a lot larger than the ones in the first film. Posted on Friday, February 22nd, 2019 by Update: The Hollywood Reporter says Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe, the actors who played the children in the first A Quiet Place, are in talks to reprise their roles in the sequel alongside Emily Blunt. After almost a year of talking about how he was just going to return to write the script for A Quiet Place 2, John Krasinski is also coming back to direct the sequel to his 2018 horror hit. Plus, a new report says that Emily Blunt is coming back to appear as well. Learn what we know about A Quiet Place 2 below. John Krasinski A Quiet Place 2 Deadline reports that Krasinski will be back in the directors chair for this follow-up, and that “Emily Blunts deal for the sequel is closed as well. ” Spoilers for A Quiet Place ahead: the first film ends with Blunt dramatically cocking a shotgun and ready to kill the aliens that are invading her familys farm. Krasinskis Instagram post features the hashtag “Part II”, which seems to indicate that this movie could pick up where the original left off. But the weird thing about that is it goes against practically everything Krasinski has said about the sequel ever since he came on board as a writer. “How did that old man survive? ” Krasinski previously wondered aloud when asked about his idea for a sequel. “In the extreme these characters are going through, theres no room to think about that. Theyre there, theres an old man whos about to scream, they just have to deal with that.
